I wanted to update you on a decision that was made by us regarding our publications. Recently, the EAU has noticed a movement to change to English (and also Dutch) spelling of Ukrainian place names to reflect the Ukrainian language, and not the Russian as has been historically the case in Western Europe. Therefore, the EAU will follow this change and we will adopt the Ukrainian spelling of Ukrainian places in all our publications and communications.
As it is not possible for us to change the Ukrainian spelling of Ukrainian places of MyEAU members, we would like to advice any MyEAU members from Ukraine who wish to change to the Ukrainian spelling to make the amendments themselves. Please feel free to forward our email to your members.
