Звернення Президії Національної академії медичних наук України (Appeal of Presidium of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine)

Президія НАМН України рішуче засуджує розпочате Росією 24 лютого 2022 року воєнне вторгнення в Україну.

Це – варварська і віроломна атака на незалежну, мирну та демократичну країну, яку вже засудив весь цивілізований світ. 141 країна-член ООН, а також НАТО, Європейський союз закликали Росію припинити насилля та вивести свої війська з території України.

Російська воєнна агресія приносить страждання та руйнування, ставить під загрозу життя незліченної кількості невинних людей в Україні. Вже 24 доби під нищівними ракетними та артилерійськими обстрілами ворога знаходяться населенні пункти по всій Україні, гинуть мирні люди та ні в чому не винні діти. Це – військовий злочин проти людства, докази якого бачить весь світ і який вже розглядається Міжнародним кримінальним судом у Гаазі.

Від російських обстрілів страждають об’єкти наукової інфраструктури, лікарні, зокрема, й інститути Національної академії медичних наук України у Києві, Харкові та інших містах України.

Президія Національної академії медичних наук України категорично засуджує розв’язану Росією війну, нечувану жорстокість та військові злочини. Ми закликаємо міжнародні наукові організації, в тому числі міжнародні фахові медичні асоціації, всю світову наукову та лікарську громадськість долучитися до засудження варварської агресії. Закликаємо всіх порядних російських і білоруських лікарів та науковців не мовчати, висловлювати свою громадянську позицію та докладати максимум зусиль для зупинки агресії.

Presidium of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine strongly condemns the military invasion of Ukraine started by Russia on 24 February 2022.

This is a barbarous and perfidious attack on an independent, peaceful and democratic country, which has already been denounced by the whole civilized world. 141 UN member states, as well as NATO and the European Union, urged Russia to stop violence and withdraw its troops from the Ukrainian territory.

Russian military aggression brings suffering and causes massive ruining, endangers the lives of the innumerable innocent people in Ukraine. For 24 days and nights devastating missile and artillery attacks of the enemy have been ruining cities and towns all over Ukraine, causing deaths of civilians and innocent children. These are war crimes against humanity, whose evidence is seen by the whole world and which are already being investigated by the International Criminal Court in the Hague.

Russian bombings are damaging objects of the scientific infrastructure and hospitals of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, Kharkiv and other Ukrainian cities and towns.

The Presidium of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine resolutely condemns the war unleashed by Russia, the unheard-of level of cruelty and war crimes. We call on international scientific organizations, including European and American professional medical associations to join the condemnation of barbarous aggression. We call all decent Russian and Belorussian doctors and scientists not to be silent, to demonstrate their civil position and make every possible effort to stop the aggression.
